Three Bridges School Achieves National Wellbeing Award for Schools

Three Bridges School, part of the Melrose Education group of schools, has been awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools, a nationally recognised standard for positive mental health and wellbeing. The award was formally granted on 10th December, recognising the school’s strong, embedded approach to supporting the emotional wellbeing of its learners and staff.

The Wellbeing Award for Schools celebrates schools that demonstrate a whole-school commitment to promoting positive mental health, creating a culture where wellbeing is prioritised alongside learning and development. Achieving the award reflects the thoughtful, consistent work taking place at Three Bridges School to ensure learners feel safe, supported and understood.

The assessment process considers leadership, staff wellbeing, learner voice, curriculum design, safeguarding practices and engagement with families and external professionals. Three Bridges School was recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong relationships and proactive strategies that support mental health across the school community.

Tracey Storey, Founder, CEO and Executive Chair of Melrose Education, said:

“We are incredibly proud of Three Bridges School for achieving the Wellbeing Award for Schools. Positive mental health and wellbeing sit at the heart of our values across Melrose Education, and this award is a powerful recognition of the commitment, care and expertise shown by the team every day. It demonstrates our belief that learners thrive best when their emotional wellbeing is fully supported.”

Lisa Smith, Principal of Three Bridges School, added:

“This award reflects the dedication of our entire school community. Supporting wellbeing is not an add-on at Three Bridges, it is central to how we work with our learners, families and staff. We are proud to have our approach recognised through this national standard and remain committed to continually strengthening our wellbeing provision.”

The achievement reinforces Melrose Education’s ongoing commitment to nurturing safe, inclusive environments where learners are supported to build resilience, confidence and positive relationships, enabling them to succeed both in and beyond education.
